Background
First and foremost I am just a student. I love learning about things: technology, history, theology, design, cooking. I hope to never stop learning about and from everyone I come across. It is with this inquisitive and open mind that I approach everything I do. I do not claim to be an expert. There are many paths in life, perhaps you are a little further down the way than I am or vice-versa; however we can learn from each other and together be better for it.
I have a liberal arts degree in Religion and currently spend my working day as part of a collective of visualization and analysis professionals providing operational reporting and advanced data visualization services. From time to time I write here, or for other blogs, and soon you will be able to find me published here as well.
Technical
I am a bit of a living Swiss Army™ knife of technological know-how. I have experience ranging from Oracle database administration, to C++, to Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. My tools of choice are my trusty MacBook, but I also run a variety of windows and linux systems on a daily basis. I am equally adept navigating through Windows Explorer and opening terminal session over a serial connection into a Sun Solaris box in single user mode to apply patches. If you are ever beset by a gang of geeks, nerds, and code monkeys I have your back.
Spiritual
I am a follower of Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean I am going to condemn you to hell, thankfully that's not the job I have been given. What it does mean is that I try and pattern my life after the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the Bible and interpreted and lived out by His apostles and other followers throughout time. I don't necessarily have it any more together than you, but I do have a different perspective. I am not perfect, just set apart. As a follower of Christ I hope you will turn and follow him too, that is all repentance is, it's stopping and turning toward God and he will take care of the rest.
